BILL CROFT - PASTOR:
My beautiful Mother, RosaLena has been a housewife for 53 years (the most demanding job in the world - AMEN). My father, Jim Croft was a Pastor/Teacher, so following him into coaching, teaching and preaching came as no surprise to me or the Lord. It's all part of my personal DNA I suppose. I grew up in the mid-west, received my Masters in 1988, coached football for 27 years (yikes, was it really that long?), taught at several high schools and colleges, the Lord lead me to Heber Valley where I have been teaching World History at Wasatch High School for the past several years. I have been the Pastor at WCHV since Jan. 2001 and met the most wonderful woman here in Utah, whom I fell in love with and married. Life is GOOD, indeed!!!
My wife Beate and I have celebrated 6 years together. We enjoy skiing, tennis, biking, reading, Bible study and traveling to Europe. God has been so good to me and my life has been so blessed. Each day I am reminded of these blessings. I am so thankful you have found this website and my sincere prayer is that you will come and Worship with us some Sunday at the Worship Center. Faith Elevated - Love Extended.
DR. ROGER TEST - MEN'S BIBLE STUDY:
I am a practicing pharmacist, having received my Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern California in 1969. To the delight of my soul, I am by avocation a student of and teacher of biblical studies, having received my Master of Divinity degree from Talbot Theological Seminary [now Talbot School of Theology] in 1974.
I concentrate especially upon the original languages of Scripture and the writings of the ante-Nicene church.
Recreationally I am an avid snowboarder, having transitioned from skiing beginning in 1993.
TRACY WETTERLIN - JAIL MINISTRY:
I have lived in the Heber valley since 1992. I came here with my husband Jeff to start a business that didn't work out quite the way we planned. In spite of our failed plans for that first business, good things have happened for us here. We have two daughters: Lily is 14 loves soccer, basketball and friends. Rachel is 11 and loves music (piano, flute and violin) and basketball.
God first opened my eyes and my heart to His love on May 9, 1995. A family crisis finally brought me to the WCHV six years later. Coming through the doors of this church felt like coming home to family, harmony and discord and love working together.
I am loving the opportunity to serve as a witness for Jesus through our childen's ministries, Vaction Bible School and Wasatch County Jail Ministries. God is so good to show His strength, power, love and mercy through these ministries.
PHYLLIS MILLER - WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY:
I was raised in a loving home by a very devoted Christian mother. She attended Church every Sunday and encouraged me to go with her. My attendance was spotty; on one week and off the next.
I always knew "about" Jesus, but didn't give my heart to the Lord until I was 38 years old and even then I was not following what God wanted in my life.
Then one day He showed up in a BIG way.
The State of Utah was about to widen the road I lived on, forcing me to move and ultimately find the beautiful Heber Valley, where I believe God wants me to be. Daily, I am learning what it means
to really be a follower of Jesus.
My prayer is that I please God each and every day and stay close to His teachings.

BILL SAKS - JAIL MINISTRY/CHURCH ADMIN:
When I was a child, I fell in love with a little Church. That was my first exposure to faith. Chapel in the Pines was the name of the little Church and it really was set back in the tall pine trees. It was so beautiful, tall, A-frame in shape and a huge stained glass cross at the north end of the building.
I remember asking my mother if I could attend VBS - Vacation Bible School in the summer. She reluctantly said yes, not because she didn't want me to go - she was afraid of what my father would say to me and possibly discouraged me. Just like Mom had thought, he did make some nasty remarks, but there was a higher power at work and I just kept on going. My walk has been filled with SOARING highs and DEEP lows. Through it all I always knew God was there for me - even on the days I said he wasn't. I thank God everyday for His love, for my Faith, for my friends, for my family, for my health. These are the Blessings that are poured out on me and each day I take those Blessings and pour them back into everyone I meet. God is Good – All the Time!
